Let's make SpeakerShare a Big Deal in the speaking industry
Hello, Pilots! I'm so excited to start this 6 month pilot project with SpeakerShare. Every single speaker I've spoken to about SpeakerShare has been enthusiastic. As an early user, you're going to spot things noone else has noticed and have suggestions big and small for making SpeakerShare better, and I'm looking forward to hearing them. Post your ideas here so that eSpeakers staff and other Pilots can see an appreciate them. Not every idea will be winner, but throw it on the wall and we'll find
Author Brags
I'd love to see a place where if an author reaches a significant milestone it's added to their profile. For example: Topping a significant and meaningful list, Award for their book or as an author, Million copies sold, top 100 (overall) on Amazon etc (ie not just Amazon best seller list but more than that) that it gets a mention and place on our profiles. Foreign rights deal Book tour confirmed... Books count! I was talking with a major event planner for associations last month, who arranged
Other ways to Verify Testimonials
Right now, the only way to verify a testimonials is to have an email sent to the company/person and have them verify by email. For television appearances, it would be nice to be able to submit a link to the testimonial to have it verified. For instance, if a speaker appears on Dr. Phil and she says "You truly are one of the best experts on positivity. Thanks for coming on the show and explaining it all to us". The chance of getting Dr. Phil to verify by email is slim... but to be able to use
Motivational Speakers Who Do More Than Just Talk
How about creating a public ledger reputation system that allows the public to reach a consensus on whether or not a "celebrity" has accomplished enough or has been through hell and back enough to be a motivational speakers? Each individual of the public
Action List templates
I'm in the process of setting up eSpeakers for the first time, and today I worked on customizing my Master Action List. When I started the process, the standard Action Items list had 3 different actions. Luckily, I already had a checklist elsewhere in Trello that I'd created, that I had to copy over manually. Even so, it was a fairly tedious and time consuming process, and I'm pretty tech savvy. I found myself thinking about how daunting a task it might be for many of the less tech savvy speakers
Reporting Details
I'd like to see a way to report on the details of an event including the Library - attachments/files across all events for a reporting period. This is helpful when doing a quick audit of events and being able to look at events by quarter or other time segments.
Task completed notifications
Is there an option to push a completed task as a notification to other person (just one vs. the whole team)? The idea is when one task is complete and someone else may have a next step or FYI - they are getting a notification of completion vs. updating notes + actions.
Mastermind
This is a very select group. Each of us have core competencies and challenges. From my standpoint once I give a keynote it is unlikely that no matter how good my presentation was received I will not get booked the following year. I would like to suggest fellow speakers. If others are interested we can share contacts and most importantly once the event is over, and payment received, we can then suggest another speaker for the following year. This is NOT intended to circumvent the fee for espeaker
Multiple Currencies
Adding a few more currencies in addition to USD (GBP, Euro, SGD).
Podcast for eSpeakers
Hello Speaking Colleagues: I am in favor of eSpeakers launching a weekly podcast. I listen to speaker/industry related podcasts routinely and would love adding eSpeakers to the mix. With NSA shifting to a podcast format, eSpeakers would align itself with the latest communications platform in the industry. And they'd never run out of guests...we're all here on eSpeakers!
Verifying job postings
The job postings need to be verified. I've done my due diligence in bidding on some jobs, and have even checked the date, location, and conference schedule online to find that the event doesn't exist. Each bid I do takes time, and I can only bid on 3 a week.
Marking Job Board items as "Already Read"
It would be nice to be able to mark job board postings that we have ruled out a "already read" and/or ones we've applied to as "already applied". Basically, as "don't show anymore" so that when we look at what's out there, we're only looking at a short list of what's new for us. I often have to think, "Did I see this before?" and "Did I already apply for this one?" Would be nice to mark it as so at the moment we're done with it. And to get rid of ones we'd never do so we don't see them time

Someone who likes you is using their insider knowledge of speakers, trainers, coaches and entertainers to help you get a superior presenter for your meeting or conference. Charity
I receive multiple charity requests per week. I can't fulfill them all, but know there are speakers wishing they had any opportunity, even if it's below their quoted fee range or even free for an opportunity. Would there be a place within the SpeakerShare program where there could be a Charity pod? Meaning: A referral could be created with as much information as can be given from a planner needing a speaker, and it pops up on our calendar and we can consider it or pass, or refer along to another
Fee Range+
When it comes to Speakers, we know speaker fees are a thing of integrity and ethics, and equally we understand there are times when someone is in grave need of events and opportunities. I would propose there be a grouping of speakers that are signed on to be referred that are willing to work with an event planner's budget range. For example, if I sign on as a Speaker under the "SpeakerShare" umbrella, am I willing to do an event in April or September under my fee range? Probably not. However,
Speakers by Region and Fee
For the Referral page it would be helpful to have a way to search speakers in that page by Region. Meaning: Say I have a client in St. George, Utah, which would easily serve Speakers between two major NSA Chapters - Mountain West and Las Vegas. If I could search those speakers in that page filtered to those chapters that would help me easily refer to the client. Also, say that client has less than a desirable amount of money, for argument's sake let's say under $2,500. If we could then do a
Spotlighting Each of Us
Hi: Just as eSpeakers spotlights people in the Pro bracket, how about we spotlight each other within this group. We will learn more about everyone's expertise by doing so. Maybe, this is the plan or has already been suggested, but in case it has not, I thought I would mention it. With a smile, Darlene
Referring Speakers on SpeakerShare

What happens if the event organizer doesn't pay their speaker through the platform?
If the event organizer hires one of your recommended speakers but does not pay them through the eSpeakers platform, then eSpeakers receives no part of the transaction and so cannot pass anything along to you. There are instances where the event organizer pays the speaker directly, outside of the platform, and later eSpeakers can collect the commission by invoicing the speaker. If we're able to collect the commission that way, we pass it on to you. Encourage the speakers and event organizers you know
An idea for those who don't want commissions
This idea came from Mark Hobson's questions. Perhaps it would be nice to have a drop down option, when you indicate commissions. 1) I appreciate the commission and look forward to receiving them 2) Please lavish my commissions on the Espeaker staff 3) Please donate my commission to the NSA Foundation Then, once a month, quarterly, or annually you could automatically transfer the funds to NSA Foundation under the name of "Various Generous Sharing Speakers"

How does payment work in Marketplace?
The eSpeakers platform handles the process of getting money from you to the Speaker. Because it is online and streamlined into the hiring process, paying your speaker is very easy and secure, and it relieves the Speaker of the administrative chore of invoicing and collecting. What happens if a contract is cancelled
An offer that has been ACCEPTED is considered a binding contract. What happens when one side or the other backs out of that agreement depends on: which party is backing out (the Buyer or the Speaker), whether a deposit has already been paid, and how far away the event date is. If the SPEAKER cancels a contract Any money paid so far (ie, DEPOSIT) is returned to the Buyer If the BUYER cancels a contract Any money paid so far is retained by the Speaker (ie, DEPOSIT) If the event date is less than 45
