SimpleSite is a feature of your eSpeakers PRO account that delivers an attractive, templated website built from the material you enter on your eSpeakers profile.
Features include:
- No webmaster, zero coding -- every time you update your eSpeakers profile, your SimpleSite page is rebuilt automatically.
- Video, optional schedule display, full bio, programs, reviews, and more.
- Friendly inquiry form that emails you instantly, and posts a lead event right on your eSpeakers calendar.
How Do I Set Up My SimpleSite
- Use the Profile area to complete your eSpeakers profile, including photo, bio, fees, videos, recommendations, and more.
- You can control whether or not your direct contact information is shown on your SimpleSite. Turning OFF direct contact information allows you to use your SimpleSite as a "bureau-friendly" website.
- From the Profile main menu, click PLUGINS & SIMPLESITE.
- On the next screen, click SIMPLESITE from the tabs along the left.
- In the CONTACT INFO section, select the setting you want (to show or not to show contact information) and click the SAVE button.
- You can control whether your speaking schedule is displayed on your SimpleSite
- From the Profile main menu, click PLUGINS & SIMPLESITE.
- On the next screen, click SIMPLESITE from the tabs along the left.
- In the SHOW LIVESCHEDULE section, CHECK the checkbox to show your schedule or UNCHECK to hide it.
- If you show your schedule, you can use the SETTINGS button to control what data is displayed, the date range you want to show, and other settings.
- Click the SAVE button to make your changes effective.
That's it! Your SimpleSite is built automatically from the information in your profile. When you change your profile, your SimpleSite is updated.
What Is My SimpleSite Address?
To see your SimpleSite address:
- Sign in to your eSpeakers profile editor.
- Click PLUGINS & SIMPLESITE.
- On the next screen, click SIMPLESITE from the tabs along the left.
- Your unique address is displayed in the section labeled YOUR SIMPLESITE URL.
How Do I Embed My SimpleSite Page Inside My Existing Site?
If you have an existing website with pages you like, and you want to add your SimpleSite as one of those pages, follow these instructions. If you don't have a website up and want to use your SimpleSite as your complete website with your own domain name, follow the instructions on the section "How do I use my domain name for my SimpleSite?"
To embed the SimpleSite page in an existing website, use the iframe technique. This is a little technical and may require your webmaster. The instructions will also differ depending on if/which content management system you use (Wordpress, Squarespace, etc.).
If you can edit raw HTML on a page of your site, add an iframe tag like this:
Replace the text inside the quote marks starting https and ending with simple with your own full SimpleSite address.
How Do I Use My Own Domain Name for My Simplesite?
To use your own custom domain name for your SimpleSite:
- Use a domain name you already own or purchase a new one through any domain vendor. eSpeakers does not sell custom domain names.
- Using your domain registrars settings, FORWARD your new domain to your SimpleSite address.
- The directions for doing this are registrar-specific. As an example, here are the instructions to do this on GoDaddy.
